Dominick manages our impression on the internet. He works to make sure our business is found online and presented in a user-friendly, aesthetically congruous way. He has proven to be adaptable in the everchanging realm of website design with a propensity for learning new technological skills. Outside of work, he is a video game enthusiast and aspires to become a competent pianist.
Ryan is one of our graphic designers here at Wheelhouse. He is a proud Wayne State graduate who brings his own brand of design & illustration to the table along with the enthusiasm to create something unique every day for our clients. Most days you can find him wrapped in a blanket at his desk listening to a variety of music and podcasts.
Travis was the first to step into the Junior Graphic Designer position at Wheelhouse. He primarily handles all of the Golf Digest Planner, and Hole in One programs art work. His calm demeanor and eagerness to learn are valuable skills that help him activity pursue his free-lance work, and fit into the Wheelhouse family.
Mary is our Project Manager and has been in the large-format print industry for over a decade. Mary specializes in overseeing the details of our customer’s projects from start to finish, and she has a lot of fun while she’s at it. Prior to her career in printing, Mary earned a BBA from Northwood University. In her down time, Mary can be found snowboarding, kayaking, golfing, or spending time with her husband and their beloved dogs.
Shauna is our experienced event planner who has planned major events for clients such as Barton Malow and Woodside Church. She has a tremendous eye for detail and impeccable taste! She has three beautiful daughters who are a full time job themselves! When Shauna isn’t working with clients, her passion is still events, so she is often found planning community events and parties.
Kelsey has grown with us to be our Lead Graphic Designer. As our go-to gal, she has helped us rebrand and rejuvenate our internal companies to better reach new clientele and produce larger projects. She makes for a fierce combination of wit, tenacity, and talent. Her attention to detail and eye for color take our clients’ simple visions and make them larger than life. Kelsey makes it look easy and brings her passion for design with her to every project, big or small. Kelsey is also an excellent cook and has regularly shared her talent during our daily team lunches. Living in downtown Detroit, Kelsey regularly cheers on the Detroit Red Wings and enjoys some of the city’s best breweries and restaurants. She also loves (really loves) dogs.
Chris brought his experience to the team as a production artist. He handles all of the Golf Digest Planner and Hole In One programs art work. Chris will be going to Macomb Community College full time in the Fall. In his free time he enjoys camping and being in the outdoors. He is also an avid snow and water skier.
Matt has been involved in projects and installation in some of the country’s largest venues, sports stadiums, and other facilities. Matthew’s attention to detail and always working to exceed customer expectations is a strong contribution to Wheelhouse.
Stella is our Chief Greeter. She takes pride in her work, always keeping an open ear for the front doorbell. After an initial sniff-test, she welcomes guests with a heart-warming smile and wag of her tail. In her down-time, Stella patrols the office in search of treats, toys, and co-workers looking for a game of tug-of-war. Stella is an avid collector of golf balls and enjoys sampling the finest meats and cheeses the world has to offer.
President of Wheelhouse Graphix, bringing vast industry knowledge in motorsports and other major events. Sean is a hardworking and dedicated team-oriented leader with years of industry experience.
Cory is our Zund Master and could perform surgery with our Zund cutter. He has years of experience in production and is a crucial branch of our entire production line. With Cory’s broad knowledge of production machinery, he attributes to the smoothness of our whole operational and overlooks all troubleshooting throughout the print shop. In his free time, Cory enjoys spending time with his friends and family and is an avid gamer
Mike is our Printing Manager for every project that comes through the production grid. With a vast background in graphic design and mechanical engineering, Mike ensures the programming and consistency of everything that we print is held to the highest of standards. During Mike’s free time he enjoys creating designs of his own and spending time with friends and family.
Dave is the Color Profiling expert for our entire product line. With years of experience working within the print industry, he has worked with clients around the country and can profile any material and products for any project. Throughout his career, he is known for always staying ahead of schedule and never missing a deadline, while ensuring his projects are properly completed. His free time is primarily spent following and rooting for his Washington Capitals and playing hockey.
Jamie has been the fearless leader of J Ryder Group since its creation in 1998. Starting with his love for golf, and the dream of starting something new, Jamie went out on a limb, and it worked! Since then he has worked on expanding the business in many different directions. If you can dream it, Jamie will find a way to produce it. With a background in corporate sales and finance, Jamie has a level head, with the heart of an entrepreneur. In his spare time, he serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Washington Parks Academy – Cornerstone Charter Schools, is the father of three beautiful girls, husband to an amazing wife, and likes to spend his (little amount) of leisure time on the boat with his family.
Heather has been with J Ryder Group for over a decade. She has worked most of the jobs at the company, starting at inside sales and working her way up to COO. Heather’s background is in the operations and promotional product industry – with over 30 years of experience in exceeding client expectations, she has brought a quality control to J Ryder Group that is unparalleled in the industry. Heather is affectionately known as the “office mom” as she treats all of the employees like family. With her husband of 26 years, three children and one granddaughter of her own, she has her hands full, but she juggles it all exceptionally well. In her tenure at J Ryder Group she has been everyone’s cheerleader, boss, and confidant. Her favorite part of working at the company is creating new processes/procedures that elevate the stress on the ever-growing business. When Heather isn’t at work she is spending time with her family and going on trips to tropical destinations.
Timm is a seasoned professional who has been in the print and graphics business for years. He has been involved in a spectrum of projects, which include designing graphics for a complete retail grocery store interior and printing stickers and wraps for vehicles. Some notable national clients have included Best Buy, Burlington, Publix, and Wrangler. On a local level, he has helped refresh and rebrand countless grocery, retail, and convenience stores. Although a native of Metro Detroit, he lived in Tampa, FL for many years. Timm has owned several businesses, served on the Board of Directors for the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, and on the Advisory Board for the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning team. Several years ago, Timm moved back to the Detroit area for love… and is very happy he did!
Trina has a forever crush on all things creative. She is obsessed with turning the whys into why nots? She is always looking to improve things, which is why branding and marketing are her sweet spots. She genuinely enjoys helping others improve and achieve, and she trusts the truth of consistent incremental improvements, while she embraces the wisdom that follows failure. Her career began in sports broadcasting, then moved to newspaper and ad agency. Using her communication and marketing magic, she has earned top performance awards in sales. She enjoys tea and drinks coffee mostly during the NBA playoffs. Her life’s philosophy is an all-encompassing positive self-development and healthy-fit. Trina chooses to see the good in all people and believes anything is possible!
Tom joined the team nearly 20 years ago, bringing his attention to detail and “always be closing” attitude. With a background in sales and marketing, Tom was the perfect addition to J. Ryder Group, growing the Hole in One Program Division from the bottom up. Since cultivating that part of the business, Tom has continued working on new projects to expand the company and is now heading up the Wheelhouse Graphix sales team. Tom’s favorite part of his career is the wide range of customers that he gets to interact with on a daily basis. When Tom is not at work, he enjoys spending as much time as he can with his wife and three (quickly) growing children. He has two daughters in college and a son who is a high school senior.
Brandon is the Lead Production Manager in the print shop. As a production manager, he is in charge of the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes. He is responsible for ensuring productivity by our entire staff, while maintaining the highest quality of all our products. Brandon started at the J Ryder Group as a graphic design intern for Hole In One and has since worked his way up. During Brandon’s free time, he skateboards with his little brother, works on design projects at home, and spends time with his family and girlfriend.
